In the late 1950s Jaguar was one of the most distinguished brands of British cars. They represented tradition, but with high performance and 24-karat polished technology. The last worldwide turning point was reached when, on 15 March 1961 at the Geneva Motor Show, Jaguar exhibited the XK-E, the famous E-Type that would become a legend. The E-Type was a completely new design, apart from the drive unit it inherited from its predecessors, and it generated an absolute infatuation with Jaguar.
